Elixir Industry,

I am 58 years of age, have had osteoporosis for several years despite my healthy active lifestyle. I lost over 9% bone density in my lumbar spine the last two years. I refused to take fosamax (much to the disgust of my doctors). I started on ezorb 3 months ago after a routine ct scan showed a buildup of calcium lining my stomach.

I just received results of bone density last week and lumbar spine has improved 7%. I cant wait to see what will happen after another year. I have just ordered some for my 83 year old mother.

Thank you for putting my mind at ease about the future health of my bones.

Joan

First I want to thank you for always being so efficient in sending out my order.

My husband found your product last May 2004, on the website, wanted me to try it for my bone spur plus arthritis....... there was a story about how it curred one of your customers, I told him everyone had a story, just another pill to take it. Well he insisted on ordering it - I started to take it - very negative about it but dit it.

Well in a month, my spurs were good, plus my arthritis, now I have to tell you I am in Canada half a year and Hawaii the other half. I walk 10 to 15 miles a day, my spurs give me no problem, even walked a marathon. I can go on and on ...... I will never be with out your powder, take it twice a day. So pleased my husband did not listen to me. I am retired and want ot be healthy which I am at 62, walk 7 days a week......

so thank you.....

Diane S.

I am 70 yrs old, and last year I had a heel spur that prevented me from walking with out a lot of pain. My physician said theres not much you can do about it, but gave me an insert to put under my heel to make it not hurt so bad.

My sister-in-law found E-'Zorb on the internet and told me about it. I read the testimonials, and said I'd try it. I bought four bottles of powder and took 2 teaspoons three times a day and by then the pain was gone. I don't know what happed to the heel spurs, but I am free of pain for a year now and can walk 2.5 miles without the pain. I still take it for comfort, but lesser amounts.

Thanks for the relief.

Linda S. B., Minn

2. Research News: Wine Too Increases Blood Pressure

Contrary to popular belief, drinking red wine is as likely to cause an increase in blood pressure as beer, results of an Australian study suggest.

Alcohol is known to raise blood pressure, but the antioxidant compounds called polyphenols in red wine were thought to counteract this effect by helping to relax the blood vessels, explain Dr Renate Zilkens and colleagues from the University of Western Australia in Perth.

To investigate whether red wine had a more positive influence on blood pressure than beer, the researchers studied 24 healthy, non-smoking men, aged 20 to 65 years, who were daily drinkers, with normal blood pressure and no history of heart disease.

After abstaining from alcohol for 2 weeks, the participants were divided into four groups according to whether they drank no alcohol, 375 ml daily of red wine (39 g alcohol), non-alcoholic wine, or 1125 ml of beer (41 g alcohol) during a 4-week period.

At the end of this 4 weeks, all the groups were switched to a different consumption phase, until all four phases had been completed. The participants' blood pressure was assessed throughout the study, and heart rate and blood vessel function were measured after each study phase.

The men stayed on their usual diets during the study, but were limited to drinking two cups of tea per day, and avoided antioxidant supplements and all over-the-counter medications.

The team found that blood pressure and heart rate did not differ for the participants during the abstinence and non-alcoholic red wine phases of the study, even though the daily intake of non-alcoholic wine contained approximately 760 mg of polyphenols.

However, compared with abstinence, both red wine and beer intake increased BP by 2.9 and 1.9 mmHg, respectively, while sleeping heart rate rose by 5 and 4.4 beats per minute.

None of the study phases had any specific effects on blood vessel function.

The researchers note that the study was conducted in healthy men with normal blood pressure, so it remains unclear whether beer and wine will have the same effect on men with high blood pressure.

"The advice to drinking men 'at risk' of hypertension and those with hypertension is to drink less than two drinks per day," Dr Zilkens said.

"At that level they will still benefit from the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol [good cholesterol] raising effect and anti-coagulant [blood-thinning] properties of alcohol, which are considered to be protective of the heart."
